CHRISTIANE NOLL Success in opera, operetta, jazz, and on Broadway has led Christiane to be called “one of the most versatile actresses in the American Musical Theatre.” She made her opera debut with Plácido Domingo and the Washington National Opera in THE MERRY WIDOW as Valencienne at The Kennedy Center. She was critically acclaimed for her performances as Marianne in the City Center ENCORES! Production of Romberg's THE NEW MOON (later recorded), and Kathie in THE STUDENT PRINCE . She has been a frequent guest soloist with symphony orchestras around the world, including the National Symphony, Cincinnati Pops, Cleveland Orchestra, Detroit Symphony, San Francisco Symphony, the Jerusalem Symphony, and the Sinfonica Brasileira.
Ms. Noll made her Broadway debut starring as Emma in JEKYLL & HYDE, and was also acclaimed as Vanna Vane in THE MAMBO KINGS. She received an Ovation Award as Hope Cladwell in the National Tour of URINETOWN. She has appeared extensively in regional theaters throughout America, has been a member of the national tours of GREASE! as Sandy, MISS SAIGON as Ellen, and CITY OF ANGELS as Mallory/Avril, and has toured Australia and Thailand as Nellie in SOUTH PACIFIC.
She has recorded extensively, appearing on many original cast albums, soundtracks, and collections. She has also made three solo CDs, and supplied the singing-voice of Anna in the Warner Brothers animated feature THE KING AND I.
