Artist Mentor Program:
Eugene Opera's ARTIST MENTOR PROGRAM is a unique way for local artists to participate in the magic of opera. This program, open by audition to members of the Eugene Opera chorus ONLY, prepares members to learn all or part of major roles in each season's upcoming operas, often in the original language. The local artists then "cover" for the principal artists during preliminary rehearsals, and also represent the company in performances throughout the Eugene-Springfield area and throughout Oregon.
During productions, the members of the AMP attend coaching sessions with visiting artists. Coaching sessions in previous seasons have been held by conductors Nicholas Carthy, Kelly Kuo, and Andrew Bisantz, and by legendary Metropolitan Opera tenor George Shirley.
Membership in the Artist Mentor Program is open to members of the Eugene
Opera Chorus, and is by audition. Please contact Dr.
